FAR FROM SUPER, but at least Urban Vybz St John’s Sonics are back to being victorious.
Jamar King scored 11 fourth-quarter points, including three big treys, as the pre-season favourites rallied for Thursday’s 70-63 win over Burger King Clapham Bulls in the Co-operators General Insurance Basketball Premier League at the Barbados Community College.
The result snapped a telling two-game losing streak for the “super team”, who shockingly suffered a couple heavy double-digit defeats despite their loaded roster.
And they looked destined for another after falling behind 55-48 in the fourth quarter following a brief Rahiim Gibbons onslaught. (JM)
