THIRTY-FOUR of Barbados’ top junior tennis players will be hoping to follow in Darian King’s footsteps when the C.O. Williams International Junior Tennis Tournament serves off on Saturday.

Among those who will battle juniors from 27 regional and international countries are Robert Hayden, who is ranked 1157 by the International Tennis Federation, with junior world ranking of 1875; Sanaa Hewitt (1875); Kyle Frost (1873); and Romani Mayers.

Barbados have been climbing in tennis, placing in the top ten in two Under-16 tournaments last week.

Romani Mayers, Kaipo Marshall and Kyle Griffith represented the island at the Junior Davis Cup North America And Caribbean Pre-Qualifying Championships where they placed eighth of 18 teams. (RG)
