COPS IN MOURNING

THERE WAS A SOMBRE MOOD prevailing at a number of police stations yesterday as many officers mourned the untimely passing of “an ace detective”.

The tragic death in a road accident on Sunday evening of Station Sergeant Clifford Sherlock Bridgeman, 49, forced the Royal Barbados Police Force (RBPF) to activate its chaplaincy as a number of its members needed counselling. clifford-bridgeman

The faces at District ‘C’ and Oistins all painted a picture of sorrow and grief.

Bridgeman’s relatives said they were still in disbelief, while his girlfriend, fellow police officer Roslyn Gittens, was too distraught to speak. (LK/TG)
