IT’S ON TO the next one.

Darian King has another date with one of tennis’ big guns, having set up a second-round matchup with eighth seed and world No. 12 David Goffin tomorrow after winning another ATP Masters 1000 match yesterday at the Miami Open.

Playing against Lukas Lacko on court seven, the 24-year-old world No. 121 battled back from an early break and some late nerves before beating the 114th ranked Slovakian 7-6(2), 6-4 in an hour and 41 minutes.

“I am sure he will be looking forward to playing against David and looking to put in a good performance. He will get rest and prepare for the match on Saturday,” said King’s older brother and coach Christopher. (JM)
