CONSTRUCTION OF THE controversial Hyatt Centric Hotel on Lower Bay Street may have hit another snag.
Attorney David Comissiong has lodged a court case challenging the permission given to Mark Maloney’s Vision Developments Inc. by Prime Minister Freundel Stuart, in his capacity as minister responsible for town planning, to construct the 15-storey hotel.
Comissiong filed the fixed date claim form and supporting affidavit with the Registry of the Supreme Court yesterday afternoon.
At the same time, he indicated he would be bringing a supplementary application for an “immediate interim order suspending” the granting of permission to build the hotel, pending the full hearing of this matter on May 9. (GC)
