Pride poised for victory

A LIVELY spell of pace bowling and excellent spin support put Barbados Pride in firm control of their Digicel Regional 4-Day Tournament seventh round clash adainst Windward Islands Volcanoes at Kensington Oval yesterday.

Barbados enjoyed a fruitful final hour as the Windward Islands Volcanoes limped to 34 for five, having trailed on first innings by 31 runs. Barbados made 324 in reply to the Windward Islands 293 all out.

With Kemar Roach not taking the field at the start of the Windward Islands second innings, Miguel Cummins displayed the aggression and penetration shown by Roach in the first innings. He forced opener Tyrone Theophile to edge to Ashley Nurse at second slip.
