Bulls survive Hawks late scare

ALL’S WELL that ends well.

Burger King Bulls had a real scare, but still managed to survive the most menacing of 22-7 fourth-quarter rallies before pulling out a tough 79-66 victory over Hawks in Thursday’s Co-operators General Insurance Basketball Premier League action.

It was the third win in four games for Clapham at the Barbados Community College, where the rampaging Bulls were seemingly coasting while leading by as many as 21 (65-44) to start the fourth.

But Hawks threatened late, having rattled off 15 unanswered points before getting within six points twice inside the final two minutes. (JM)
