City sewage plant back on track

THINGS ARE BACK TO NORMAL at the Bridgetown Sewage Treatment Plant.

And soon, it should be back to normal for residents in and around The City too, who have had to endure a foul-smelling odour coming from the plant, or the outfall at Trevor’s Way on the Harbour Road.

The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) has fast-tracked a special maintenance plan to rectify the problem.

Earlier this year, only two of the diffusers were working, but after four days of intense maintenance by the BWA, 17 diffusers are now working at 100 per cent.
