THE Junior Stars Athletic Championships may be the last opportunity for athletes to qualify for the CARIFTA Games.
The inaugural meet, which is being hosted by Soiraa Sports, is set for Saturday at the National Stadium and will be staged a few days before the Athletic Association of Barbados’ deadline for the games which will be held in Curacao from April 15 to 17.
“The 15th of March ends the qualifying period so if you are not qualified by then you should take this opportunity to see what happens,” meet director Bryan Holder told NATIONSPORT.
Holder explained that the meet was designed to facilitate athletes who didn’t compete often. (RG)
