DEAR CHRISTINE, I am very much in love with a guy with whom I started a relationship lately. I trust him very much and he trusts me. We are very faithful toeach other.
My problem is that I’ve just started a new job and I like it very much, but my boss wants me to have sex with him and I have refused. I told him about my boyfriend but he says it does not matter. I even told him about his wife but he says that does not matter either.
When I refused, he told me I was playing smart, probably meaning now he has given me the job I won’t give in to him.
Last weekend he troubled me again, but I did not tell my boyfriend because when I told him about the first time, he said if he troubled me again to leave the job. Do you think this isthe solution?

You’ve got to make it clear to your boss that it does matter to you that he has a wife and you have a boyfriend and you are not prepared to betray either.
Become a member of your union if you have one and continue to do a good job. If he attempts to take advantage of the situation, report him if you can.
If you don’t want to do this, then you’ll have to do as your boyfriend says – leave the job. It is a rotten shame that you must sacrifice your job because of a boss who tries to get sexual favours from you.
Recently, a man was punished for a similar offence and I am all for you staying right where you are, doing a good job and defying him from making you pay extraby giving in to hissexual demands.
