Barbados Pride win Super50

BARBADOS PRIDE fittingly wrapped up the 2017 WICB Regional Super50 Cricket Competition as champions after beating Jamaica Scorpions by 59 runs.

In a dominating display at Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua and Barbuda today, Pride scored 271 for nine and limited Scorpions to 212.

Rovman Powell showed stubborn resistance with 65, but like their Barbadian counterparts, several Jamaican batsmen got starts and did not capitalise.

Man of the Match Shai Hope led Barbados with 101 off 98 balls and captain Jason Holder had gave strong support with 69. Sulieman Benn took three wickets for 33 runs.

Barbados lost only one match in the tournament.
