Compton break through with 3-2 win

RECENTLY PROMOTED Waterford Compton held on to claim their first win of the campaign when the Digicel Premier League resumed at the National Stadium on Thursday.

Compton managed to hold on to a precious 3-2 triumph over Brittons Hill, thanks to goals from Romario Small, Zinio Harris and Kishmar Wade, while Travis Coppin and Mustafa Haqq got on the scorsheet for Brittons Hill.

In another game, a devastatingly clinical Paradise thrashed Notre Dame 5-1, their second win of the season.

A brace from captain Armando “Suga” Lashley, coupled with strikes from Steven Griffith and Mario Williams, and an unfortunate Aaron Leacock own goal did the damage for Paradise. Zico Edmee’s well taken strike was the only response Notre Dame could offer.
