ORANGE HOUSE comfortably retained the title at the St Matthew’s Primary School’s inter-house championships at Friendship last Friday.
They won with 812 points, followed by Purple with 771 and Green 720.
Purple House’s Makel Alleyne, competing in the Under-9 division, showed age was just a number when she captured the victrix ludorum title with 48 points.
She took gold in four events – the 80 metres, 100 metres, 150 metres and long jump. She also placed second in the cricket ball throw.
The victor ludorum title was shared by Under-11 competitor Nathaniel Watson and Under-9 athlete Jacobi Cumberbatch, who both accumulated 36 points.
Watson, of Green, won the 100 metres and 400 metres and placed second in the 200 metres and long jump.
Orange’s Cumberbatch won the 80 metres, 100 metres and 150 metres. He also took third in the cricket ball throw.
Tatyana St Hill dominated in the Under-11 Girls division, winning three events. She won the 200 metres, 400 metres and long jump and placed second in the 100 metres to finish with 32 points.
Ashan Trotman of Green tallied 32 points. He won the 400 metres and long jump and took third places in 100 metres and 200 metres.
Shamiah Boucher of Green captured the Under-13 Girls’ division title. She won the 200 metres, 400 metres and the long jump. (RG)
