Red three time champs

LED BY Destiny Haynes, the National Sports Council’s cross country champion, Red House romped to their third straight title at the St Mark’s sports at Blades Hill playing field on Friday.

Red ended with 454 points, well clear of second place Yellow (379) and Green (351) with Haynes gaining 37 points to be crowned victrix ludorum.

Competing in the Girls’ Under-13 division, she won the 600 and 400 metres, the long jump and cricket ball throw events. She was also third in the 100 metres and finished sixth in the 200 metres despite injuring her ankle.

Her namesake, Akeem Haynes of Yellow was the victor ludorum with 38 points after winning the Under-13 Boys’ long jump, 200, 400 and 800 metres. (EZS)
