BARBADOS PRIDE won’t be resting on their laurels against lightweights ICC Americas in their Regional Super50 One-Day cricket match at the 3Ws Oval from 9 a.m. today.

The Barbadians are buoyed by their demolition of Guyana Jaguars by 145 runs in Tuesday’s day-night game when they amassed 302-7 in their 50 overs, with opener Kraigg Brathwaite hitting a maiden Super50 century, before routing Guyana for a modest 157 in 32 overs. Left-hander Jonathan Carter supported well with a blazing 75 at better than a run-a-ball.

On the other hand, the ICC Americas, who were winless in their tournament debut last year, suffered a seven-wicket loss to Combined Campuses and Colleges (CCC) in their morning game at Windward Club in St Philip on Thursday.
