BOTH ELLERTON AND Notre Dame claimed slender, but vital victories, when the Digicel Premier League continued at the National Stadium on Thursday night.

Ellerton, despite a strong second-half push from recently promoted Waterford Compton, prevailed 2-1, thanks to a couple of early strikes in both halves, with Damien Small scoring in the 13th minute and Cody Mark in the 46th.

Compton’s reply came from a Romario Small penalty in the 78th minute.
