BARBADIANS could possibly find difficulty in getting pork in adequate quantities this year.
That is, until the Barbados Association of Pig Farmers gets production back to the high numbers of years ago.
It’s not that there is no demand, said those in the industry, but issues with genetics and feed have been having a negative impact on the sector.Â
President of the association, Woodville Alleyne-Jones, said there had been a three-fold increase in production in 2015 over 2014. But issues with feed last year had a negative impact on production. (HLE)
