ALMOST A YEAR after being dropped by their medical insurance carrier, members of the Barbados Association of Retired Persons (BARP) can finally plan for the future.
That’s because a United States-based company, come March 1, will provide coverage to over 2 000 retirees.
BARP president Ed Bushell told the DAILY NATION yesterday that Florida-based insurer Premier Assurance (PA) Group had agreed to provide coverage to BARP members following the decision by the Insurance Corporation of Barbados Ltd (ICBL) to drop them last year.
According to its website, the PA Group has provided medical coverage to people in 195 countries for over the last 18 years. (AD)
