PHOENIX Security Services Carlton and Club United made early strikes when the Goddard Enterprises Limited Senior Volleyball Knockout served off on Wednesday night at the Oldbury Court in St Philip.
Former queens Chargers seemed ready to shake off the cobwebs from their league stay in the cellar when they took the first set from Carlton.
However, a superb performance by young Risa Niles, Shakira Jack and Ayesha Maycock took the game for Carlton 19-25, 25-18, 25-22, 25-21.
Both Club United and Burger King Clapham Toners continued their inconsistent league form. However, Club United’s form was on the up, while Toners were on the down as the latter folded in straight sets to Club United 13-25, 23-25, 21-25.(KB)
