Cousins fight over property

A BRIDGETOWN COURT was transformed into a theatre yesterday as one man dramatically recounted events that led to him being arrested and brought to court yesterday.

The dramatisation by Harold McDonald Payne forced officers to redirect him back into the dock as his re-enactment took him beyond the wooden section.

Payne, a 55-year-old vehicle bodywork technician of Free Hill, Black Rock, St Michael was giving an explanation to the court after admitting to assaulting his cousin Anthony Straker, causing him actual bodily harm on December 27.

The cousins, who live next to each other, were constantly involved in disputes over ownership of adjoining properties. (TKS)
