Five injured as ZRs collide

FIVE PEOPLE WERE INJURED in a collision between two route taxis earlier today.

Police say the accident occurred at Pilgrim Road, Christ Church near the Flash In Bar between ZR345 and ZR277.

The former was driven by 37-year-old Calvin Williams of Delaware Land, St Michael, while Shawn Harewood, 40, of St Mathias, Christ Church, drove the latter.

Five people received neck and back injuries, including three passengers aboard ZR277, as well as the driver and one passenger in the other vehicle.

A 23-year-old male passenger aboard ZR277, and a 67-year-old female aboard ZR345 were both taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance for medical attention, while another other person opted to seek private medical attention. (PR/SAT)
