Debushing brings relief

HOUSEHOLDERS AFFECTED by overgrown areas around their homes are starting to get some relief since the debushing programme being run through the Ministry of Health started earlier this month.

A resident of Ruby, St Philip, said he had seen the work in progress and it had really made a difference.

“It helps, especially with the rain falling,” the resident, who did not want to be identified, said.

Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler had first announced the move in the August 2016 Budget in which $5 million was provided for the national clean-up and debushing programme over five months. (LK)
