THE MISSION of Red Bull Thre3Style 2016 World Deejay Champion, Andre “DJ Puffy” Parris, is to let people see deejaying as a respectable profession.

An upbeat Parris was speaking at a welcoming reception at the Grace Adams suite of the Grantley Adams International Airport Wednesday night after he emerged from an Avianca aeroplane from Chile. He was hosted by Minister of Youth and Culture Stephen Lashley and Minister of Tourism Richard Sealy and other Government officials.

“. . . After winning the title I sat down with a couple of the folks at the various companies that would make the [deejay] equipment that we use, that’s Pioneer and Serato, and I let them know of my plans to bring workshops, deejay meets and deejay link-ups here in Barbados,”  Parris told his audience.

He said the sponsors’ response to the proposal was great, and that projects could be happening very soon. (JS)
