Lee’s idea to fix transport

A SOLUTION to the Transport Board problem could be found well before Christmas.

But for that to happen, interim chairman of the Association of Private Transport Operators (APTO), Morris Lee, believes Minister of Transport and Works Michael Lashley needs to be freed from the bureaucracy that is causing the mismanagement of resources.

Lee spoke to the SATURDAY SUN yesterday following days of delays at the Fairchild Street Bus Terminal caused thousands of commuters extreme frustration as they waited hours to get a Transport Board bus.

When pressed for information on a possible Government and private meeting to find a solution, Lee said that such a meeting between the two was pending. (AD)
