CHRISTMAS CAME EARLY for a group of special children this morning.
They were not visited by Santa Claus, but the 31 children from the Ellerton Primary School Special Unit, St George had the run of Payless ShoeSource at The Walk, Welches, St Thomas to get their choice pair of shoes.
The treat was a joint effort between the store, which has had a presence in Barbados for the last five years, and the Variety Club of Barbados.
After selecting the shoes they wanted, the children and adults accompanying were treated at the nearby Chefette Restaurant compliments entertainer Mikey, who is the Payless champion. The day of treats ended with movies at Olympus Theatres. (YB)
