THE RELOCATION of two of Barbados’ first five matches in the Digicel Regional 4-day cricket competition could work to their advantage.
With Kensington Oval unavailable because of an unsatisfactory outfield, Barbados Pride will play each of their first five matches away from home and coach Emmerson Trotman said yesterday it would not necessarily put them at a disadvantage.
After completing the first half of the tournament with away matches, the team will complete their fixtures by playing all the return matches on home turf next year.
“The last five matches at home could work in our favour. With the first five away from home, if the guys can get some momentum, it is most important. If you get good momentum going away from home, it can work in our favour,” Trotman told NATIONSPORT. (HG)
