THIS YEAR’S ANSA McAl Racing Festival and Winter Jockey Challenge will be offering $150 000 in prize money while spectators will have the chance to win a Kia Picanto car valued at $50 000 from McEnearney Quality Inc.

Jonathan Simpson of the Barbados Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association also revealed that the festival, which is set for November 19 at the Garrison Savannah with three feature races, has again attracted jockeys from the United Kingdom.

“Last year was the beginning year of the Ansa McAl sponsorship and that was a fantastic success. From what I hear, this year is going to be an even bigger success,” Simpson said during yesterday’s launch at the Barbados Turf Club’s Garrison headquarters. (RA)
