IT’S NOW ON to the issue of homeschooling.
Having had the problem of a criminal charge of not registering their children for school lifted from over their heads, Rastafarian couple Charles Lashley and Kim Jackman are now out to prove they can educate their kids at home.
SUNDAY SUN understands the pair met with officials of the Ministry of Education, and have since presented a second application seeking to officially homeschool their 12-year-old son and nine-year-old daughter at their Pine Basin, St Michael residence.
The couple, along with their attorney Ajamu Boardi and officials of the African Heritage Foundation, had met with education officials on October 24 to determine what would be the best way forward to ensure an acceptable education could be obtained by the children. (BA)
