ST PHILIP WEST pummelled neighbours St Philip North 5-0 on a rainy Friday night in the David Thompson Memorial Constituency Councils Football Classic at Combermere School.

Two goals each from Norrin Corbin and Oscar Nero proved to be more than enough against a tepid St Philip North side, who were generally unable to muster any type of response in the face of such a drubbing.

The penultimate night of group matches also saw St Michael West and St Michael Central produce an entertaining first half but the game had to be suspended after one of the goal bars collapsed with the score 1-1.

It took only seven minutes for St Philip West to open the scoring after Corbin broke free down the left and saw his attempted pass across the face of goal blocked. (ML)
