IT’S GOING TO be a clash of the titans.

Defending champions Lodge Road ‘A’ and former winners St Martin’s have set up an epic championship round after slamming their opponents to reach the finals of the Barbados Draughts Association’s Team Draughts Competition.

All roads now lead to Christ Church Girls’ School, Water Street, on Sunday at 6 p.m. for the highly-anticipated finals and third-place play-off.

St Martin’s swept aside Invaders, formerly the Magicians, 25-15, with 2015 national champion Richard Grazette looking in ominous form following 1-0 wins over Winston Lowe and Michael Taitt.

But the big surprise was the return of Anthony “Rat” Agard, who made light work of veteran Michael Barker 2-0.

Carson Farley made some amends with a 1-0 victory over Agard. (HH)
