No end to White Hill woes

THE PEOPLE OF White Hill, St Andrew and its environs seem to have the worst of all worlds.

The “road” connecting to Hillaby can no longer be called a road; the transport system is fractured because of it and to top it all off, they do not have water.

When a WEEKEND NATION team went back to White Hill to speak to residents, the sight of the contentious road was appalling. It has completely fallen away and is now nothing more than a track with bush growing around it, trees looming dangerously overhead and blocks placed as foot and hand holds.

The abandoned house overlooking the path was said to only be held up by its back wall which was cracking so residents expect they would have to soon be clearing rubble. (CA)
