THE MAN who escaped all attempts by the United States to have him extradited, perished by an assassin’s bullet sometime on Friday.

The body of 54-year-old Frederick Christopher Hawkesworth was discovered in a bushy track off Mullins Road, St Peter on Saturday evening in the hired car he had been driving on Friday morning.

There was a bullet wound to the back of the head and he was in the front seat of the car.

Hawkesworth, a former restaurateur of Rock Dundo Heights, St Michael, was reported missing by his wife Kim who said she last saw him around 7 a.m. on Friday when he left to take his children to school. (HLE)
