Carlton stun Deacons

CARLTON volleyball team would never be considered sleeping giants.

However, they showed knockout queens Flow Deacons why they should let sleeping dogs lie.

Deacons toppled to their first loss to Carlton when the Goddard Enterprises Limited Division One Women’s Volleyball League continued on Monday night at the Kensington Bond.

Playing a superb allround team game, Carlton took the five-setter 15-25, 25-21, 25-22, 16-25, 15-8. Deacons seemed on course of winning their second straight match and handing Carlton their second successive loss after taking the opening set. (KB)
