CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER of Cave Shepherd & Co. Ltd., John Williams, is not only concerned that the island’s progress has stagnated but also that it has regressed.
Delivering the feature address at the Congress of Trade Unions and Staff Associations of Barbados’ (CTUSAB) 11th biennial conference opening ceremony at the Savannah Beach Hotel, Hastings, Christ Church on Thursday night, Williams held nothing back as he blamed a failing outdated governmental system for this.
Speaking to the theme: “Promoting Social Equity and Justice; Championing the Cause of Labour”, the businessman advocated a “root and branch” reform of these systems.
He charged that these systems were not delivering the “promised fair access to opportunities and resources, and care for the disadvantaged in Barbados” . . . . (SDB Media)
