Tourism interests from across the Caribbean were well represented when the Caribbean Tourism Organization hosted its 20th State of the Industry Conference in Barbados.

With the impressive Barbados Hilton as the venue, and a backdrop of the sand-fringed Caribbean Sea, the delegates engaged in intense sessions in which the future of the region’s tourism was discussed.

But when evening fell, the local organisers made sure there was time for the visitors to let down their hair. Everyone who came all the way to Barbados experienced real Bajan hospitality. On opening night in the Hilton’s Old Fort Charles under a moonlit sky, there was steelpan music, pudding and souse and loads of socialising. (GC)
