Water Warriors hit the road

SLIGHT RELIEF CAME to the water-starved residents of St Joseph yesterday.

And a similar respite is expected this morning when the Starcom Network Road Runner team arrives in the parish.

Residents have been crying out due to a shortage of running water going back almost a year.

Earlier this year, the Weekend Water Warriors (WWW), moved by the plight of the waterless, dropped in to deliver the precious liquid. They returned yesterday on a similar mission and pleaded with others to get involved.

This morning, popular radio announcer Carol Roberts and her team will join communications specialist with the Barbados Water Authority (BWA), Joy Ann Haigh, as a water tanker visits the parish starting in Chimborazo. (AC)
