THERE WILL BE a showdown of sorts today in The Pine, St Michael.
The square-off involves water-starved residents of St Joseph and executive and staff of the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) and will be under the watchful eye of the police.
It will all happen just outside the new headquarters of the BWA just off the ABC Highway.
At least 150 of the frustrated residents of the rural parish have been given permission to stage a peaceful protest from 10 a.m.
Coordinator of the protest action, Andrew Dixon, has asked the business community to grant staff who are residents of St Joseph some time off to protest their disgust over the lack of potable water. (ES)
