Fallen tree causes extensive damage to St Thomas home

A  POREY SPRING, St Thomas woman and her nephew narrowly escaped injury in the wee hours of this morning when a tree fell on their home.

Felicia Skeete awoke to the crashing sound around 3 a.m. following heavy rainfall.

The house, which was occupied by five others, was extensively damaged.

Officials of the St Thomas District Emergency Organisation are on the scene assessing the situation and preparing to remove the tree. (BN)
