‘Ideal’ Barbados

BARBADOS HAS the capacity to become an attractive jurisdiction to do business, as well as an excellent place for hosting of an international centre for alternative dispute resolution.

This was the sentiment of Senator Maxine McClean, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, who was speaking at the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Young Arbitrators forum Caribbean series yesterday at the Hilton Barbados.

“Barbados is a treaty-based international business and services sector and centre. Over the last 50 years, our country has been deliberate in the pursuit of tax diplomacy, as an extension of its political and cultural ethos, and a key plank for accelerating economic development,” she said. (RA)
