Oba willing to help AAB

OBA IS STILL WILLING TO HELP.

Once asked, of course.

Barbados’ lone individual Olympic medallist, Obadele Thompson, believes the Athletics Association of Barbados (AAB) is missing a trick in not seeking the assistance of former stalwarts like him, Andrea Blackett and Elvis Forde to develop future world beaters.

“There has to be a transfer of knowledge. God forbid I die today, you know what a big waste it would be that people have not taken the chance to get the things that I have learned at an administrative level and not just what I can tell athletes,” said the 100 metres’ bronze medallist at the Sydney Olympics.

“You have to understand what factors play into top-level performance and then make decisions to see how many of those factors we can as a nation provide for our athletes.”
