Scholarship slip

ONE YEAR AFTER hitting a near record high, Barbados has recorded its lowest Scholarship and Exhibition numbers in over a decade.

Minister of Education Ronald Jones announced yesterday that nine Scholarships and 18 Exhibitions were awarded this year.

He made the announcement at the ministry’s headquarters during a press conference.

He said that of this year’s Barbados Scholarship winners, seven attended Harrison College while two were from Queen’s College. (AD)
