Cabrera finishes sixth in Rio

BARBADIAN SWIMMER Lani Cabrera placed sixth in Heat 1 of the women’s 400 metres freestyle at the Summer Olympics in Rio, Brazil this afternoon.

She completed the race in a time of 4:28:95.

Japan’s Chihiro Igarashi won in 4:07:52 followed by the Bahamas’ Joanna Evans (4:07:60) and Katarina Simonovic of Serbia (4:15:57).

Yesterday Alex Sobers placed fourth in the men’s 400 metres freestyle in a time of 3:59:97. (NB)
