TWO OF THE THREE MEN held in connection with a drug bust at the Grantley Adams International Airport have been remanded to HMP Dodds.
Peter Narine, 25 years of Grazettes, St Michael and Ronald Livingston Alleyne, 44, of Brereton, St Philip were unable to raise the $25 000 bail when they appeared before Magistrate Douglas Frederick in Criminal Court No. 1 today.
They were remanded until September 2.
Meanwhile, the third accused, 31-year-old Dexter Jamal Austin of Workmans, St George was granted bail after his sureties met the conditions.
The three Airport employees have been charged with possession of cannabis, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and conspiracy to traffick cannabis.
They were arrested and charged after members of the Drug Squad carried out an operation at the Airport which led to the discovery of 19 kilograms of cannabis with a street value in excess of $83 000.
