SOCA STAR MACHEL MONTANO showed global love in his second 1Love concert in Barbados. Well represented were Nigeria, Trinidad, St Vincent and of course Barbados.

From as early as 6 p.m., soca diehards descended on the Concorde Experience grounds to secure a prime position.

Patrons grumbled over the long wait, as the first performer came on at 9:30 p.m.

There was a technical glitch at the start as emcees Leah Marville and Kirk Brown asked everyone to stand at attention for the National Anthem to be played and then to find out there was no Anthem available.

Before Monk Monte and the HD band came on stage, the patrons feasted on the offerings of the Bajan contingent. (NS)
