SPECTATORS WERE OUT EARLY and took up vantage spots along Station Hill, St Michael to watch the parade of the bands for Republic Bank Grand Kadooment Day.

They were not disappointed as some of the major bands were among the first on the road.

As usual, Walk Holy led the way, followed by Church On The Road. Blue Box Cart started the parade of traditional bands and they were followed by the T-shirt band from sponsors Republic Bank.

Among those facing the judges early were Baje International, Ooutrage, Fantasy, Colorz and Jump.

The music is also a major part of the festival, with Fadda Fox’s Dirty Habits, Bashment Soca King Stiffy’s Tek of Something, Bang Bim by Marzville and Snap Brandy and the very popular I’z A Bajan by Lil Rick. (Barbados Nation)
