LOOK! Another war was declared last week after reading the article “Fighting sexual dysfunction the healthy way” – DAILY NATION, Monday July 25.
Some of the female readers of this column were up in arms because as one reader wrote “you fix up de men and move them from six thirty to twelve and leave we women at zero on the clock”.
I sincerely apologise. In retrospect, I precisely remember when in training to be a Cadet officer that Lieutenant Colonel (rtd) Jeffrey Bostic, now Member of Parliament for the City of Bridgetown, and Sergeant Major Victor Bovell, now attached to the Barbados Youth Service, instructed me that when I confronted an obstacle to go around, through, over or under it.
I decided to take this military advice and go through this obstacle. Therefore, this week I am going to address the issue of boosting the sex drive of women.
As a woman when those tingles and feelings of ecstasy penetrate the mind you want to locate paradise and remain there. I often wonder if my body would remain in such an alert stage because I am truly saddened when I hear women complaining that they “ain’t feeling the feeling”.
They are many silent doctors available in Barbados and the Caribbean that are reputed to boost the libido of women. Let us now take a look at how we can restore that “perking” feeling and awake the key arousal areas to bring the sizzle back into the bedroom.
On the web page health.com it has been revealed that “yoga does more than just get you limber – it may boost your libido, too, suggests a review published in the Journal of Sex and Marital Therapy. Further, yoga may also improve your orgasms by increasing blood flow down there. Google medicinalherbs-4u.com to read “this may sound surprising, but annatto medicinal herb is a good remedy to improve the sexual drive.
Annatto is a rare silent doctor in Barbados. When in bloom it has pink flowers and carries a very hairy looking pod when the fruit is dried. Located in the hairy looking pod are numerous red seeds. This silent doctor along with avocados, almonds, strawberries, water melon, celery, damiana, cow itch and oysters are just a few foods that may set the mood for sexual healing.
Finally, let us forget about the libido war, since I have revealed the peace sign. I feel a sense of victory on the horizon as silent doctor annatto and her backup crew will work to restore the needed groove.
