IT WAS ONE LOVE when the two finalists in the People’s Monarch competition met fans at Cave Shepherd yesterday evening.
Marvay (Know The Face) and TC (De People Place) arrived at the Broad Street store separately and gave each other a warm embrace when they met in the food court.
Voting finished at 11:59 last night and whether the vote goes in favour of TC or Marvay, there will be no loser when the winner is announced sometime this afternoon.
Both are members of De Big Show cast, and are part of De Red Boyz family. In fact, whoever takes home the $15 000 prize will bring home a hat-trick for De Red Boyz. Imani won in 2014 and Red Plastic Bag did the honours last year.
“Good feeling”
TC, who made it to the quarter-finals in 2014 and the semis last year, is pleased with her progress in the People’s Monarch competition.
“It’s a good opportunity to get out and meetthe fans. . . .It’s a good feeling and I’m happy to be in the final two,” she said, adding that she was impressed with Marvay from the time he was singing reggae.
Marvay entered the calypso arena last year and this is the first time he is in People’s Monarch.
“I’m honoured to be in the finals with a TC; that is a legend. I just appreciate it,” he said. (YB)
