Tax returns still outstanding

SOME taxpayers are still awaiting their income tax refunds from government.

Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler yesterday promised once again that his ministry was in the process of getting refunds out to taxpayers.

The issue of the returns came up as Sinckler fielded a cross section of questions from the public on Sunday Brass Tacks on Starcom Network Inc. yesterday.

The minister said that the government had made considerable progress on paying out the claims, adding that they had a bad year with the 2013 with returns on the various taxes. (JS)
