THE BARBADOS TRIDENTS’ events management team has dropped promoter Chetwin Stewart and taken control of the lucrative Party Stand at Kensington Oval.
T. Venkat Vardhan, founder and managing director of DNA Networks, which has been contracted by Caribbean Premier League (CPL) to handle all the Tridents’ logistics, including stadium management, told the WEEKEND NATION that Stewart had not kept his side of the bargain and so they cut him out of the activities this year.
Speaking during the Tridents versus St Kitts and Nevis Patriots game on Wednesday night, Vardhan confirmed that not only would his company control the popular Party Stand, for which a premium price is charged, but the principals behind the Harbour Lights nightclub had been given the contract for all the bars in the stand.
