I HAVE ALWAYS heard that too far east is west.
Some modern-day politicians in our midst are a living testimony to this saying. It simply is not cool for them to be seen hanging out in rum shops knocking back alcohol like it “gine out of fashion”.
There is nothing wrong with socialising with constituents but when it reaches the point that the member of parliament or minister is drinking like a fish, the people lose respect for the person, the office and the institution. Small wonder that our politicians are no longer revered by most.
Sorry, but too many of our politicians are not behaving in a manner befitting their status. Seems like all ah we is one fuh true.
